Tsegaye Degineh 〔(Biography Degineh )〕 (
* April, 1969) is an Ethiopian Doctor of Economics and the first Ethiopian mainly brought modern Ju-Jitsu to Ethiopia.〔(Conversation-with-Dr-Tsegaye-Degineh-Gugssa )〕 He received his Ph.D. (2000) at the Department of Economics and Business Administration,〔(School of Business and Economics- theses )〕 Humboldt University Berlin and holds 5th Dan in Ju-Jitsu that initially dominated by the style of the German Ju-Jitsu Federation.〔(Die JJIF hat ein neues Präsidium )〕
He is known as the founder and the first President of the Ethiopian Ju-Jitsu Association (2007) and later the first President of the Judo Association that merged with the Ju-Jitsu Association in 2011.〔(Ethiopia Judo & Ju-Jitsu Association )〕〔(Good-Will-Tour in Äthiopien ), (Die Welt, 13.12.11, Mit Judo gegen Armut und Gewalt )〕 He is also Vice President of the Ju-Jitsu African Union (2010),〔(Ju-Jitsu African Union )〕 which is a member of Ju-Jitsu International Federation and SCSA (Supreme Council of Sports in Africa) as well as AASC (African Association of Sports Confederations). Degineh enabled the participation of Ethiopian Athletes in World Judo Championships 2011 and World Ju-Jitsu Championships 2010 for the first time ever in the sports' history of Ethiopia.
